Why four hours instead of three
Every other guided morning here splits its time between two markets three kilometres apart, which costs about half an hour in transfers and caps what you see at either end. This one stays at Toyosu, and the extra time goes into the parts most tours skip: the intermediate wholesale floor after the bidding, the shops above it, and a proper sit-down breakfast rather than a stop.
That makes it the wrong choice if the Tsukiji lanes are what you came for, and the right one if the market itself is. What happens here sets out everything the extra hour buys.
The sushi reservation, and what it is worth
Daiwa Sushi and Ichiba Sushi are two of the counters inside the market, and the queue at the best-known ones is an hour by six in the morning. A held seat removes that, for any size of party, and it is written into the inclusions rather than promised on the day.
The meal is not in the fare. You order at the counter and pay for what you eat, which is the arrangement most travellers prefer once they have seen the menu.

Who this suits, and who should book both markets instead
This one is for you if: Anyone who wants the market itself rather than a tour of two markets, families who would rather be collected than find a taxi, and anybody who has read that the sushi counters have queues and would like to skip one. Groups of four or more are treated as a private party.
Book something else if: Anyone whose morning has to include the Tsukiji Outer Market. This one stays at Toyosu, and the lanes at Tsukiji are a different experience worth its own time. If you want both in one morning, the private Toyosu and Tsukiji morning splits the three hours between them with the transfer paid.

Know before you go
- The taxi fare is settled on the day. Your guide comes to the hotel and travels in with you, and you pay the driver. Budget for a short ride rather than a long one if you are staying centrally.
- Two travellers is the minimum. Booking starts at two people, so a solo traveller cannot take this fare alone.
- Four or more becomes private. A party of four or more travels as a private tour at no extra charge.
- Breakfast is bought, not included. The seat is held; the sushi is paid for at the counter.
- Not wheelchair accessible. Strollers are fine; a wheelchair is not. For a step-free morning, take the private Toyosu and Tsukiji tour instead.
